The Managed Services Architect plays a strategic and critical role in how Fortra will design and organize its Managed Services for long-term success. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, cybersecurity expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to promote cooperation and synergy among business units. The Managed Services Architect will work closely with Managed Services Leadership to design how Managed Services will operate at a technical level. They will partner closely with Product Management and Research and Development (R&D) to ensure strong alignment around requirements and will provide ongoing feedback into the Product roadmap. The Managed Services Architect will play an integral, hands-on role in ensuring Managed Services-focused initiatives are successful. This role will drive ongoing research based on the security landscape and our customers’ needs that will yield improvements and innovation to how Managed Services operates. As Fortra continues to evolve its Platform vision, this role will play a key part as liaison between Managed Services and their peers from Architecture and R&D to collaborate on and evolve Managed Services on the Fortra Platform. This role’s singular focus is to ensure the ongoing evolution and competitive advantage of Fortra’s Managed Services organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive, long-term strategic plan for Managed Services that aligns with the organization's overarching business goals. Emphasize strategies for bringing various business units together and enhancing collaboration. Drive shared requirements across Fortra’s existing Managed Services groups into the Fortra Platform roadmap.
Managed Security Services Oversight: Work with the Managed Services team to ensure we are delivering effective, best-in-class monitoring, detection, and response to cybersecurity threats and incidents. Implement best practices and continuously improve security operations.
Cross-functional Integration: Collaborate closely with leaders from different business units to understand their specific objectives, processes, and challenges. Develop strategies to promote cross-unit collaboration and synergy.
Subject Matter Expertise: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging threats, and cybersecurity technologies. Provide expert guidance and recommendations to enhance the methodologies in use to deliver cutting edge security outcomes to our Customers.
Service Enhancement: Continuously evaluate and enhance Managed Services offerings to meet evolving business needs, promote efficiency, and streamline operations across units. Evaluate the security landscape for innovation opportunities and champion them either via POCs or via the roadmap. Work with our strategic partners to optimize security effectiveness and Customer value. Lead critical initiatives that drive our competitive edge.
Compliance and Regulations: Ensure that Managed Services adhere to relevant industry regulations, compliance standards, and certifications while facilitating cross-unit compliance efforts.
Reporting and Metrics: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Managed Services and the progress of business unit integration efforts. Provide regular reports to senior management.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in managing and enhancing security operations and Managed Services.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and technologies.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align security objectives with business goals and foster cross-unit collaboration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating across various business units.
- Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA are a plus.
- Experience with risk management and compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR).
- Experience with Data ingest, normalization and analytics pipelines preferred.
- Experience with security technologies ranging from Network, Endpoint and Cloud preferred.
