What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and maintain Tools & Infrastructure to streamline the development process including CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and development environments
  • Evaluate, select, and integrate Testing tools and frameworks to improve the quality and reliability of our software products
  • Build and manage Developer Portal tools(e.g. Backstage) to provide a centralized hub for developers to access documentation, APIs, SDKs, and other resources
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement best practices for code quality, test coverage, and performance optimization
  • Provide technical guidance and support to development teams on DevOps best practices and tooling
  • Configure and manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Implement monitoring and analytics solutions to track developer usage patterns, gather feedback, and make data-driven decisions about tooling and processes.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, and leverage this knowledge to drive initiatives for continuous improvement and innovation

Skills & Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant/equivalent technical discipline
  • Proven experience (5 years) as a Developer Experience Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Test Engineer or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python or Go, with a solid understanding of software development principles
  • Experience in building and maintaining Test framework with test tools
  • Experience in building and maintaining Developer tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with CICD tools(e.g., GitLabs, Jenkins), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices, including Agile methodologies and DevOps principles
  • Demonstrated ability to share knowledge via formal mentoring, reviewing code, reviewing design documents
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Nice to have:

  • Proficiency in other programming languages such as Scala and Javascript.
  • Exposure to using or building developer portals such as Spotify backstage
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Datadog
