Sr Support Engineer (Python)
Software Engineering, Customer Service
India
About the Role
Aviso AI is seeking a highly analytical and customer-focused Support Engineer to join our Professional Services (PS) organization within the After-Go-Live team. While our Engagement team handles the initial onboarding, the After-Go-Live team ensures long-term technical health, platform stability, and seamless data operations for our enterprise customers once they are in production.
In this role, you will serve as the ultimate escalation point for complex technical issues that go beyond standard customer inquiries. Leveraging your deep expertise in the Python stack and enterprise integrations, you will investigate data anomalies, debug API failures, write custom scripts to resolve backend issues, and act as the critical bridge between our Customer Success and Core Engineering teams. If you love solving complex technical puzzles in a fast-paced SaaS environment, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities
- L2 & L3 Escalation Management: Take ownership of complex, highly technical support escalations from the Customer Success and L1 Support teams. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data syncs, platform performance, and custom configurations.
- Python-Based Problem Solving: Read, write, and debug Python code to investigate backend logic, run custom data patches, and build automated scripts that resolve recurring technical issues without requiring core engineering intervention.
- API & Integration Troubleshooting: Deep-dive into RESTful APIs, webhooks, and complex data pipelines to identify failures between Aviso AI and customer systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, data warehouses).
- Bug Triage & Engineering Liaison: Isolate and replicate complex software bugs. Provide core Engineering and Product teams with detailed reproduction steps, logs, and root-cause analysis to accelerate patch development.
- Incident Management: Act as the technical lead during critical, high-severity customer incidents. Provide timely, transparent updates to RevOps leaders, internal CSMs, and executive stakeholders.
- Runbook & Knowledge Creation: Document technical workarounds, build diagnostic runbooks, and create internal tooling to empower the L1/L2 teams to resolve issues faster in the future.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in a highly technical L2 or L3 Support, Escalation Engineering, or Application Support role specifically for B2B SaaS products.
- Python Expertise: Strong proficiency in Python. You should be highly comfortable navigating backend codebases, writing automation scripts, and using libraries like Pandas for data manipulation and analysis.
- SaaS Tech Stack & APIs: Deep understanding of REST API architecture, JSON, and complex SaaS integrations. Experience querying databases (SQL) and analyzing application logs to trace errors.
- Troubleshooting DNA: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a methodical approach to tracking down elusive bugs in distributed systems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to translate highly technical issues into clear business impact for non-technical customer stakeholders.
- Agility: Proven ability to manage multiple high-priority escalations simultaneously while maintaining composure under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications
- CRM Ecosystem: Direct experience troubleshooting technical issues related to Salesforce (e.g., SOQL, custom objects, APEX limits, and SFDC APIs).
- Cloud & Monitoring Tools: Familiarity with AWS environments and modern observability/logging platforms (e.g., Datadog, Splunk, Kibana, Jira).
- Previous PS/Managed Services Experience: Prior experience working in an "After-Go-Live," Managed Services, or Post-Implementation technical team.
