About Data Analytics at CircleCI

In this role, you are a member of our data science and analytics team. We are ten-plus analysts and data scientists in CircleCI's R&D organization. You will play a crucial role in shaping and enhancing our marketing strategies through data-driven insights. This position requires expertise in demand generation, analyzing SEM campaigns, and performance modeling. You will be instrumental in developing attribution models, forecasting strategies, and implementing reverse ETL feeds to integrate with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Ads.

What you’ll do

  • Be an excellent analyst: Uncover business questions. Write research plans. Explore data in clean and raw forms. Soundly use statistics. Craft clear visualizations. Uncover insights. Tell compelling stories. Present to technical and executive audiences. Drive action and outcomes.
  • Support the marketing team: Optimize SEM and demand generation. Develop metrics to drive targeted traffic and maximize ROI. Build attribution models. Track marketing efforts across various channels. Create forecasting models. Predict sales trends. Analyze campaign performance.
  • Wield a data analytics toolkit: Implement reverse ETL processes. Analyze complex datasets. Identify trends, insights, and opportunities for optimization. Compile detailed reports. Prepare insights for senior management. Stay curious about the latest industry and analytics trends and advancements.
  • Improve our analytics practice: Scale success and celebrate fast failure. Move from one-off to repeatable processes. Complement analysis with creative thinking. Define requirements for better data. Improve data automation and analytics capabilities. Collaborate with teammates, data scientists, and analytics engineers.

What we're looking for

  • 4-6 years of performance marketing analytics: Successful candidates typically have four to six years supporting product, growth, or marketing teams as a dedicated data analyst. Typically, that experience is at a high-growth company with a well-defined product funnel. Often, candidates have additional experience supporting other functions as a data analyst or in BI-, reporting-, or analytics-engineering roles.
  • Technical education: A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, etc. Bonus for a similar Master’s degree or a data science bootcamp.
  • Proficiency across analytics tools: Strong understanding of reverse ETL processes, tools, and their implementation. Extensive experience with Google Analytics, Google Ads, and other digital marketing platforms. Analytical SQL. Scripting in a notebook environment, using Python and Pandas. Intermediate statistics. Basic data science. Ability to quickly ramp up on GitHub, Snowflake, Mode, Segment, Optimizely, Airflow, Hightough, Hubspot, DBT, and others.
  • Right soft skills: Curious; confident; open to questioning assumptions and being questioned. Effective communicator across technical and business audiences. Results-oriented, incremental worker, able to balance vision and execution, and not easily discouraged.

United States Base Pay Range
$147,000$170,000 USD
