About the Role:
As the Sr. Learning & Development Manager, you will help facilitate meaningful employee learning experiences for leaders at Demandbase to thrive, unlock their potential and drive productivity and performance within Demandbase. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Learning & Development. Qualified applicants currently residing in San Francisco, Austin, or New York City are encouraged to apply. Although this is currently a remote role, at some point in the future you may be asked to come into the office 1-2 days per week.
The Senior Manager of Talent Development will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive manager and leadership talent development programs that align with the company’s strategic goals. This role is responsible for creating and executing strategies that enhance employee performance, drive career growth, and foster a culture of continuous learning and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in talent management, leadership development, and organizational development, with a proven track record of developing high-performing teams.
The base compensation range for this position, not including the company bonus, is: $130,000 - $160,000.
What you’ll be doing:
Leadership Development
- Develop and execute a talent leadership development strategy that supports the company’s business objectives and promotes a culture of learning and growth.
- Partner with senior leadership to ensure a strong pipeline of future leaders who are developed with intentionally nominated for manager and leadership programs.
- Work cross-functionally to align on, develop, present and refine all Manager Competencies, running listening tours and compiling internal data from all levels of the organization and external data.
- Develop a reinforcement and accountability plan around behavior change for all managers – starting with key table stakes skills like creating environments with psychological safety, giving / receiving feedback and developing OKRs
- Host manager workshops or speak regularly on manager forums to reinforce the managers’ role of their employees through change
Program Design, Facilitation
- Lead our end to end design, development and delivery of manager and leadership programs to drive high performance – from Benchmarking and research of best practices, to managing partnerships with vendors, to developing and leading skills training and reinforcement of critical foundations of management skills
- Run & measure effectiveness of monthly elective workshops on key skill areas of development for teams like giving & receiving feedback, interview training, OKRs and meeting effectiveness.You are comfortable facilitating safe learning environments via gatheround, zoom, or other learning technologies; You embrace a growth mindset and can foster a space that enables and encourages others to learn.You are comfortable iterating on existing programs, developing content or doing instructional design with the latest research for newly defined important coursework.
- Iterate on and continue to build key systems and programs that serve the growing needs of the business
Building a Culture of Trust, Psychological Safety and Feedback
- Ideal candidates understand how to build a foundation of trust and psychological safety as the base for giving and receiving feedback, and work these theories actively into program recommendations.
- Analyze and interpret employee feedback and engagement surveys to inform talent development strategies.
- Develop systems of measurement for each leadership program that maps back into high performance for the business

- Enneagram Coach or Practitioner
- Psychological Safety (SCARF model or familiarity with Amy Edmonston’s work)
What we’re looking for:
- 6-8 years of professional experience in L&D, enablement, leadership or manager development or corporate training within a modern software company
- Minimum of 4 years of working to drive high performance for management and senior leadership groups
- Experience managing internal stakeholders and working cross-functionally with different levels across the organization
- Self-awareness and ability to prioritize your own growth, career advancement and skills development; through this, you inspire and reinforce a culture of learning
- Global (US, UK, India) experience a plus
- Tangelo, Acuity, Google Suite, Gatheround experience a plus (or growth mindset to learn new tools)
