About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and smart candidate to join our People team as a People Operations Specialist based out of our Hyderabad office. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for HR and desire to develop their HR career in a supportive and dynamic environment. As a People Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, including onboarding, , benefits management, HRIS maintenance, and compliance. This role requires a strong understanding of HR policies and regulations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the onboarding and offboarding of all employees and find creative solutions to up-level and continuously improve / automate related processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements by maintaining proper documentation and performing regular audits
- Support the planning and execution of HR events, including employee fun and wellness activities, training programs, and company-wide meetings
- Administer payroll, benefits, and coordinate with relevant vendors
- Leverage HR data and analytics to enable data-based decision making
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of HR legal requirements and best practices, and make relevant policy recommendations to ensure compliance
- Proactively and thoughtfully address workplace and employee operations issues on an individual and systematic basis
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee queries related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures. Provide timely and accurate information and escalate issues when necessary
- HR Systems and Data Management - Maintain and update HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and integrity, generate reports and analyze HR metrics as needed, troubleshoot any issues with HR systems and collaborate with IT partners as necessary
- Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes and enhancing employee experience including working on ad-hoc projects and tasks
What we are looking for:
- 3-5 years of People Operations or Human Resource experience, in a growing, mid-size company
- A masters degree in Human Resource, Business Administration, or related field is desirable
- Eye for detail – ability to ensure precision in tasks, break down complex information to identify inconsistencies or areas of improvement, keen awareness to spot subtle details, and commitment to maintain high standards in all outputs
- Ownership and accountability – taking responsibility for actions, decisions, and outcomes, seeing projects through from inception to completion, dedication to the role and a strong sense of duty toward achieving goals and objectives
- Strong organizational skills – ability to structure information and tasks systematically to enhance clarity and efficiency
- Strong team player with a collaborative approach to working within a cross-functional People team
- Experience with HRIS software (ADP Workforce Now, Paylocity, Paycom, etc.)
- Experience in handling sensitive and confidential information with utmost care, discretion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Intermediate experience in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
