We're searching for a Digital Marketing Manager who can elevate our paid digital game and drive pipeline growth through modern account-based strategies. Someone who knows how to reach the right accounts at the right time with the right message - and has the expertise to make it happen!

What you can do for Expel

  • This role owns and optimizes our paid digital channels including LinkedIn, Google Ads, Meta, Reddit, display, and retargeting to drive account engagement and pipeline growth. Working closely with our campaigns team, this position translates integrated campaign strategies into powerful paid media tactics that resonate with our security-focused audience.
  • The Digital Marketing Manager leverages our ABX platform (6sense) to create sophisticated account-based advertising that identifies intent signals and delivers personalized experiences at scale. They manage and optimize significant paid media budgets across channels, making every dollar work harder through continuous testing and refinement. Building and refining audience strategies that combine first-party data, intent signals, and lookalike modeling helps reach our ideal customer profile.
  • Success means driving measurable pipeline contribution through paid channels with clear attribution and reporting that connects spend to revenue. The role involves collaborating with creative teams to develop ad copy and assets that capture attention and drive engagement. Staying ahead on platform updates, beta features, and emerging channels brings fresh opportunities to enhance our paid media mix.

What you should bring with you

  • The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of B2B paid digital marketing experience with deep expertise in paid social (especially LinkedIn), display, retargeting, and SEM/PPC. They have 3+ years of hands-on ABM/ABX experience understanding account journeys, intent data, and multi-touch campaign orchestration. A proven track record managing $500K+ annual paid media budgets with demonstrated ROI and pipeline contribution is essential.
  • Technical expertise includes advanced proficiency in LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Ads, 6sense, and other B2B advertising platforms. Experience partnering with campaign teams, deep understanding of B2B buyer journeys, and knowledge of how paid channels work together to accelerate pipeline are crucial. Familiarity with Marketo and Salesforce.com, plus expertise in attribution modeling and conversion tracking round out the technical requirements.
  • A data-driven mindset balanced with creative thinking, self-motivation, curiosity about cybersecurity, and enthusiasm for continuous optimization are key. Bachelor's degree or a compelling story completes the profile.

Additional Notes

The base salary range for this role is a base salary between $85,700 USD and $120,000 USD + bonus eligibility and equity.

We believe in paying transparently and equitably. Your salary will ultimately be based on factors such as your experience, skills, team equity, and market data. You’ll also be eligible for unlimited PTO (which we model and encourage), work location flexibility, up to 24 weeks of parental leave, and really excellent health benefits.

Our headquarters is in Herndon, Virginia. However, we realize that while there is a benefit to in-person interaction, good people don’t all live in Northern Virginia. Remote work is an option within the continental US.
