The Role: Head of Product
We’re looking for our first Product Leader to take Klarity’s product to the next level.
This will be a uniquely interesting and challenging role for the following reasons:
-
GenAI: Klarity’s platform is one of the few in the world that uses Generative AI at scale
in a mission critical enterprise setting. With this comes a host of challenges unique to GenAI: accuracy computation,
hallucinations, brittleness, prompt building, enablement and more.
Complex implementations: 3-6 months on average solution design, integration setup,
automation config, UAT and hypercare.Demanding Customers: Klarity’s Fortune 2000 clientele require white glove treatment.
This means many questions pre-sale, heavy customization post sale and a slew of
intelligent and demanding stakeholders. To the uninitiated, this will feel like constant
interruptions.Being the Internal Hub: Klarity’s Sales, Solutions Advisory, Customer Success and
Operations team all look to Product for guidance, enablement and help.Ownership: You will be part of Klarity’s Executive team, report directly to the
president/CTO and be expected to participate in board meetings. You will be given an
extremely high level of autonomy.
What you and your team will do:
-
Define & Execute Product Strategy
Vision: Collaborate with the CTO to develop and communicate a long-term product
vision that supports Klarity’s mission to automate back-office operations for Fortune
2000 enterprises.Roadmap Ownership: Own the product roadmap—create it, prioritize features, and
share updates with both internal teams and customers.
-
Engage with Customers & the Market
Customer Discovery: Conduct user interviews, workshops, and scoping sessions to
capture detailed requirements from CFO, CAO, and Controller-level stakeholders.Implementations: Provide product expertise to expedite key customer implementations.
Pre-Sales: Support the sales team with solutioning, requirements gathering, and
scoping when needed.Solution Architecture: Serve as the go-to authority on integrations and workflows,
ensuring Klarity’s AI platform integrates seamlessly with customers’ finance, accounting,
and IT systems.
-
Build for the Ops Team
Internal Tools: Improve and expand the internal tools that support solution design,
extraction configuration, accuracy measurement, and more.Ops Enablement: Ensure the Ops team has all necessary functionality to perform
optimally, from solution design to deployment.
-
Product Enablement
Training & Materials: Develop enablement content and run sessions to equip Klarity’s
CS, Sales, and Operations teams with the knowledge and skills they need to excel.Pricing & Packaging: Collaborate with Sales and Finance to define product packaging,
positioning, and pricing that maximize value.
-
Own Product Operations
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Data Science, Sales,
Customer Success, and Professional Services to deliver on tight deadlines and complex
integrations.Rituals & Processes: Implement best-in-class product management rituals—sprint
planning, stand-ups, and backlog grooming—to promote clarity, accountability, and quick
iteration.Documentation & Training: Create PRDs, technical specs, and training materials that
empower both internal teams and end users to fully leverage Klarity’s generative AI
capabilities.
-
Hire & Develop Talent
Team Building: Recruit, mentor, and retain top-tier product talent.
Culture of Excellence: Foster a data-driven, customer-centric mindset within the
product organization.
Who you are:
Technical & Curious: You relish diving into the complexities of complex SaaS systems
and are usually amongst the first in the room to understand concepts. Engineers respect
you and you don’t need a technical translator.Detail Oriented: You’re as comfortable defining multi-year product visions as you are
reviewing architecture diagrams or troubleshooting feature specs. Your default operating
mode is being involved in the details; you’re not a hands-off-leader.Enterprise-Focused: You have a track record of delivering results in multi-stakeholder,
highly complex enterprise environments with high-ACV deals.Simplicity: You have an uncanny ability to simplify complexity and build mental models,
plans, frameworks that others leverage. People leave conversations with you feeling
clarity - pun fully intended :) - not complexity.Excellent Communicator: You effortlessly build trust and credibility across teams. You
make great first impressions with non-technical and technical customer personas alike.Finance/Accounting Savvy: You understand financial workflows and accounting
standards.
Preferred Experience:
Product Leadership: 10+ years in product management, with at least 5 years leading
teams in high-growth B2B SaaS (Series A/B/C or beyond).Experience working with Finance/Accounting: Proven ability to build for the
Finance/Accounting persona and ship products requiring deep integration with enterprise
systems (ERP, CRM, or others).Fortune 2000: Experience building products for large enterprises at high ACVs: $100k+.
AI/ML Expertise: Prior experience shipping GenAI features; This is substitutable for a
demonstrable passion of incorporating GenAI solutions in your work/life more than the
average Product leader.Hiring and Leadership: You have hired and managed indisputably top tier product
talent in the past. Former founders, early product hires at unicorns - folks who are the
best of the best in Tech.Process & Playbook Creation: Experience creating product roadmaps, frameworks,
and best practices from scratch, especially in high-growth scenarios.
Bonus Points:
Finance/Accounting Background: Direct experience in finance, accounting, or audit
roles.Professional Services Collaboration: Success partnering with services teams on
complex, multi-phase deployments.
