Locus Robotics is a leader in the rapidly growing eCommerce order fulfillment optimization space. Our solution helps warehouse owners attain 2-3X efficiency improvement over cart-picking operations, by empowering pickers to work collaboratively with our robots. All this is accomplished while integrating with the operator’s Warehouse Management System, utilizing and optimizing existing facility infrastructure.

We are looking for a highly engaged and self-driven student to join Locus Robotics as a Robotics Test Engineering Intern in the Advanced Products Group (APG), based in the Nashua, NH facility.

This summer internship offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with our experienced robotics engineering team. You will help validate and verify the performance, reliability, and safety of our robotic systems by developing and executing test plans, scoring data, and reporting test results. You will gain hands-on experience in robotics testing while contributing to real-world projects that impact the advancement of our technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the robotics engineering team to understand system requirements.
  • Assist with the engineering team and execute test plans for various robotic components and systems.
  • Conduct functional, integration, and performance software testing on the physical robots.
  • Identify and report bugs, issues, and potential improvements.
  • Contribute to and document the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a related degree program (e.g., Engineering or Computer Science).
  • Desirable prior software/QA internship or academic project focused on software testing.
  • Desirable prior experience working with physical robotic systems using ROS2.
  • Basic programming skills in a Linux environment, preferably in Python or C++.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a team environment.
  • Availability to work onsite Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, at our Nashua, NH facility.
