The Director, AI Solutions oversees OM1’s external-facing AI client engagements in studies and projects, partnerships, and collaborations. The Director, AI Solutions is responsible for building strong relationships, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery against client expectations, and maintaining alignment with OM1’s strategic priorities while contributing to the refinement of these priorities. Coordinating with resources across the organization (including Client Services, Data Science, Research, Clinical Informatics, and others), the Director synthesizes outputs and shapes narratives. The Director supports the Managing Director, AI & Personalized Medicine in growing and improving external relationships in furtherance of OM1’s overall AI business strategy.
What You'll Do
- Oversee the portfolio of client engagements in AI and Personalized Medicine, working with Project Management and client teams to provide oversight and ensure on-time, on-budget, high-quality deliverables.
- Maximize efficiency and ensure success with external customers and partners, including through ongoing mentorship of more junior colleagues.
- Conceptualize and supervise formulation of deliverables critical to external relationships, including study analytic plans, reports, executive summaries, and project readouts, maintaining alignment to client expectations and overall objectives.
- Ensure a consistent, high-quality standard across all communication with external partners.
- Collaborate with the Managing Director, AI and OM1 senior leadership in refining OM1’s AI strategy based on market interactions and feedback.
- Support AI business development through expansions on existing opportunities and relationships
Experience You'll Bring
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex quantitative information to non-experts and integrate results into business contexts.
- Strong domain knowledge in AI and cutting-edge applications to problems in healthcare and life sciences.
- Strong skills in client and relationship management.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced, cross-functional and at times stressful environment, including management experience in matrix environments.
- At least five years of experience in healthcare and / or life sciences consulting, including managing cross-functional teams in client delivery.
- At least two years of hands-on applied quantitative method experience in predictive modeling, machine learning, and / or applications of AI technology.
- Degree in applied quantitative methods (e.g. engineering, applied math, computer science) preferred.
