As we continue scaling, we are in search of a seasoned (Senior) HW Sourcing Manager to strengthen our sourcing team. This is an essential role in ensuring Oura’s end-to-end operational excellence in sourcing management from supply strategy to mass production and securing supply and competitiveness of materials and components.
As the HW Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for driving the sourcing activities related to electrical and electromechanical components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations and suppliers to ensure technology access, capacities and availability to Oura business requirements.
What You will do:
- Establish yourself as an effective and trustworthy sourcing & supply chain professional throughout Oura internal teams and Oura’s supply base
- Work as a key member of the sourcing team, with focus on Strategic HW Sourcing Management & complex supply chain projects
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to define and communicate technical specifications and requirements to suppliers
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies and initiatives for electrical and electromechanical components, considering factors such as business requirements, quality, cost, lead times, and supplier capabilities and competitiveness
- Identify, evaluate, onboard and contract new suppliers that can provide access for the most competitive technologies required for Oura products
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and audits to assess quality, delivery, and overall supplier capabilities and performance
- Work closely with operations to ensure the availability of components and materials to meet production schedules
- Monitor market trends and technological advancements in the supplier landscape and create strategies and plans to leverage them for the benefit of Oura products
- Mitigate potential supply chain risks by implementing appropriate risk management strategies and contingency plans
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of supplier information, pricing, contracts, and performance metrics
- Develop and implement cost reduction strategies by identifying opportunities for savings through supplier negotiations, alternative sourcing options, value engineering, and process optimization
We would love to have You on our team if You have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in electronics sourcing. Engineering background and experience from custom IC development is an advantage
- Strong knowledge of electrical component technologies (Actives, passives and IC’s) and global supply chains
- Extensive and established global industry network of suppliers and professionals
- Proven experience in developing and implementing sourcing strategies, scouting the right partners, conducting supplier evaluations, and negotiating contracts
- Excellent teamworking, coordination, communication and interpersonal skills. Problem solver who is always able to find a way to co-operate
- Proficiency in using sourcing and procurement software and tools
- Willingness to travel as required by Oura business to supplier and manufacturing sites, domestic and international
- A team player with a focus on continuous improvement who makes people around better
