Our mission at Oura is to empower every person to own their inner potential. Our award-winning products help our global community gain a deeper knowledge of their readiness, activity, and sleep quality by using their Oura Ring and its connected app. We've helped 2.5 million people understand and improve their health by providing daily insights and practical steps to inspire healthy lifestyles.

Empowering the world starts with living our values and empowering our team. As a quickly growing company focused on helping people live healthier and happier lives, we ensure that our team members have what they need to do their best work — both in and out of the office.

We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Research Operations team. In this role, you’ll lead human research studies that drive innovation and scientific credibility at Oura. These studies directly inform the development of new features, enhance the accuracy of our algorithms, and validate the health-sensing capabilities of the Oura Ring through scientific publications.

This role offers an opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of the research project lifecycle—from protocol development to data analysis—while collaborating with a global team of scientists, engineers, and product experts.

What You will do:

  • Manage two to five human research studies at a time, including contracts, budgets, regulatory processes, logistics, training, trouble-shooting, and data quality control
  • Provide clear, frequent updates to internal and external partners
  • Develop expertise on the data collection capabilities of the Oura Ring and reference devices, including hands-on troubleshooting
  • Collaborate with product and science teams to design and execute study protocols
  • Write and maintain detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Partner with technical teams to ensure high-quality data collection and thorough documentation
  • Continuously improve team processes, tools, and workflows to maximize efficiency and quality

This is a hybrid role based out of our Oulu office.

We’re excited to hear from candidates who have:

  • At least one year of full-time experience experience in human studies research, in academic, commercial, or clinical settings (e.g. consent, ethical approval, and data flows)
  • A track record of delivering high quality data sets with meticulous documentation, adhering to research best practices (e.g. Good Clinical Practice)
  • Strong relationship management skills for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Willingness to be flexible with scheduling: site visits and calls with global teams may occasionally fall outside normal business hours
  • The ability to work on-site in Oulu multiple days per week

While not required, familiarity with the following is a plus:

  • SQL or Python
  • Regulated clinical trials
  • Wearable devices or remote patient monitoring
  • Multi-modal or sensor data

At Oura, we care about you and your well-being. Everyone here at Oura has a ring of their own and we are continually looking to improve employee health and add to our benefits!

Benefits

  • Competitive salary
  • Lunch benefit
  • Wellness benefit
  • Flexible working hours
  • Collaborative, smart teammates
  • An Oura ring of your own
  • Personal learning & development program
