Overview

The Socure DS Fraud team is responsible for developing cutting-edge Fraud & Risk products to detect identity theft, synthetic identities, first-party fraud, and more by building machine learning models using latest ML algorithms and technologies, building data-processing pipelines, evaluating the performance of new data sources, and providing analytical support to the Socure Fraud & Risk product suite.


Essential Functions

  • You’ll create and manage large-scale pipelines, handling complex, high-volume, multi-dimensional data

  • You’ll analyze business requirements, and develop robust and scalable solutions

  • You’ll provide analytical support to the big data science team, collaborate and own your work

  • You’ll play an active role in meetings and discussions with cross-functional teams


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or similar field of study or equivalent work experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Up to 2 years of industry experience working in a similar role

  • Demonstrated skills in statistical methods and machine learning to uncover business insights, preferably in Fraud & Risk patterns

  • Skilled in Python, solid experience working with big data, ideally with a working knowledge of Apache Spark, and Hadoop or similar

  • Working experience maintaining and extracting insightful information from Relational Data Base Systems using SQL

  • Experience working with AWS, Databricks, and other Big Data tools

  • Working experience in building insightful reporting dashboards

  • Attitude to thrive in a fun, fast-paced start-up environment with a stellar team of fellow data analysts and programmers

  • We are looking for a team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills


Additional Notes

  • Travel – less than 10%

  • Fully remote role

Salary Disclosure:

Base Salary range: $105,000 - $126,000

This represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Final offers may vary from the amount listed based on factors including geography, candidate experience and expertise, and other job related factors. Socure's compensation and rewards package for full time roles includes a market competitive salary, equity, comprehensive benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans or an annual discretionary performance bonus.
