About The Role:
As a Senior Software Engineer at Vantage, you will join a focused team of product engineers responsible for delivering key features across the Vantage product. This includes developing the core reporting experience, integrating new providers, and enhancing onboarding and billing functionalities.
What You Will Do:
Collaborate with Product & Engineering leadership and founders on feature discovery, ideation, and implementation.
Contribute significantly to defining and guiding technical architecture decisions to support the future scaling of Vantage.
Take full ownership of end-to-end feature development, including tracking and reporting on customer impact.
Participate in customer calls with design and product teams to gain direct insight into user needs.
Develop robust and scalable solutions, working across both frontend and backend systems.
Mentor less-experienced engineers, sharing your knowledge and fostering a collaborative environment.
What We're Looking For:
A product-oriented software engineer with a passion for listening to and delighting customers.
5+ years of overall experience in software development, with a strong track record of building and delivering impactful features.
Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, or similar modern web frameworks.
Experience working as a generalist, comfortable contributing to both frontend and backend development.
A preference for simple solutions and designs over complex ones, coupled with a strong intuition for building scalable and lasting architectures.
Demonstrated ability to contribute to impactful engineering projects and build architectures that operate at scale.
BA/BS degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Bonus Points:
Experience building and deploying to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.)
Relevant experience with data visualization or financial products
Pay & Benefits
The estimated annual US base salary range for this role is $150,000 - $210,000. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location. Additional benefits for this role may include: equity, 401(k) plan; medical, dental, and vision benefits; and education stipends.
