Dialpad’s Data Team brings together business expertise and advanced analytics skills to enable business teams to identify improvement opportunities that translate into new opportunities and results.

The Data team will architect and craft the data platform to empower and implement data applications, including data ingestion framework, Data Observability, Data Quality, Anomaly detection, Data Lake/Data warehouse, business intelligence, APIs and reporting systems. The team will improve data platform performance and reliability, and opportunities to collaborate with industry standard innovative technology partners and authorities to improve efficiency through automation. Data team is responsible for ingesting data from various sources and producing critical data insights from data to help with decision making and reporting for Finance, Product, Marketing, Growth, etc.

Your role

As a Business Analyst you will be the Subject matter Expert for business processes and work closely with the team in India and USA.

Your will be the main point of contact to collaborate with stakeholders across various departments together, analyze, and document business requirements. Additionally, you will act as liaison between the business and technical team, translating business needs into technical actionable tasks. You will be responsible to gather business requirements from various business stakeholders including finance, product, marketing, customer support, etc.

This position reports to our Sr. Manager Data Engineering, with day-to-day direction and guidance on projects given by the local team lead, and will be based in our Bangalore, India Office. The requirements for this role is to be in office at least 2 days a week.

**This is a contract position for one year with high potential to be hired full time after one year**

What you’ll do

• Work with a team in the USA, Argentina and coordinate project activities and tasks and manage dependencies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements documents, functional specifications and process maps.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that provide valuable business intelligence.
• Create Dashboards, reports and support in running data analysis activities..
• Document current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, gaps, and areas of improvement.
• Translate Business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories for development teams. Ensure that proposed solutions align with the business objectives and meet stakeholders needs.
• Develop test plans and test cases for UAT activities. Collaborate with business users to conduct UAT and ensure that the delivered solution meets quality standards and user expectations.
• Act as Subject matter expert on business processes and systems, providing insights and recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Communicate project status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.

Skills you’ll bring

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science/ Engineering/ Business Administration or directly related experience.
• Proven experience working as Business Analyst with demonstrated success in leading teams and delivering complex projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively analyze and interpret business data and process.
• Experience with Project management methodologies and project management tools(Jira/wiki, etc.)
• Experience with data platforms, data pipelines, finance datasets.
• Solid understanding of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques such as requirement elicitation, process modeling, and stakeholder management.
• Understanding on any of these cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)
• Understanding of Data Platforms, Data pipelines.
